Anyone with a lick of sense knows that the only reason to even pick up the otherwise useless New York Post is because of the legendary gossip section, Page Six. According to The New York Post, Lorne Michaels’s top choice to succeed Jimmy Fallon as host of Late Night, should he become host of The Tonight Show in 2014, as rumored, is none other than Seth Meyers, head writer of Saturday Night Live and Weekend Update host.

Sounds like an organic choice, since Jimmy went from the Weekend Update to the Late Night desk, perhaps the same progression is in the cards for Seth Meyers. Of course, all we’ve really got is speculation at this point, so keep tuned to Pop Culture Galaxy for more on this developing story.
