After three failed theatrical release, Marvel is ready to try a Punisher TV show.  Deadline reports that FOX has ordered a put pilot for The Punisher.  Basically what a put pilot is, is a promise to put the show on the air or Fox would face financial penalties should they not air it.

It is described an hour-long procedural with a Marvel signature and a new take on one of the comic book giant’s iconic characters, Frank Castle, a rising star detective with the New York Police Department who moonlights as the vigilante Punisher, seeking justice for those the system has failed.  The pilot will be produced by Criminal Minds creator Ed Bernero.  After the last two films I thought, maybe it will work best as a TV show instead of a film.  I just don’t think Fox is a good fit though.  Maybe an HBO or Starz would be a better bet.  What do you guys think?
