Now that a bit more like it.  The first trailer for Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past was underwhelming.   At least for this sly handsome blogger.  It wasn’t particularly exciting and the worst offense was not showing a stitch of screen time to the Sentinels, the mutant hunting machines we’ve been longing to see on film since the first X-Men.   The appearance of the head in the crappy third film doesn’t count.

The new trailer displays the epic scope of the DOFP and definitely shows the very dangerous looking sentinels.   At least the future ones.  We see a brief glimpse of the past sentinel.  Also note worthy is we finally see Iceman fully iced and ice sliding all the way to my wallet.   The new trailer accomplishes in making this film look rather promising.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in theaters on May 23rd.

Here is the official synopsis:

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
