Another example of the microwave society we now live in, Vin Diesel announced at CinemaCon that Fast & Furious 7 will release on July 11, 2014.  Fast & Furious 6 is set for release in just over a month.  It was announced earlier that Fast 7 will go before cameras this summer with director James Wan.  The quick turnaround time for shooting may support the rumor that Fast 6 will end with a cliffhanger.  If that is the case, at lease we don’t have to wait long for the next installment.

There is however one potential drawback to a summer shoot.  Dwayne Johnson told Collider that if film begins this summer, he will have to back out because it would conflict with Brett Ratner’s Hercules.  I’m sure they can make a great film without him, but I really hope the work something out with his schedule.

Fast & Furious 6 speeds into theaters on May 24.
