The Raid: Redemption was a sleeper hit this year. It featured intense gun battles and martial arts that was both raw and in your face. Director Gareth Evans envisions the film as the first part of a trilogy, and plans are underway for the sequel entitled Berandal (Indonesian for thug) to be shot sometime next year. The Director told Collider that the scale would be bigger and plot wise would be different that The Raid.
