While the trailer for Mad Max debuted at E3, many in the audience and on the stream thought they were looking at the next installment of the Fallout series.  Then they caught wind of the double barrel gun and shoulder pads and they new exactly what they were seeing.  What’s interesting is that the game isn’t tied to any of the movies considering that there is an upcoming film on the way.  The E3 trailer was just a tease and now we get to see a gameplay trailer.  At least I think it’s gameplay.

According to the product overview, Mad Max delivers open world gameplay in a post-apocalyptic setting where cars are the key to survival. Gamers become Mad Max, a lone warrior who must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using vicious on-ground and vehicular combat against savage gangs of bandits. Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket and others to build the ultimate war vehicle as he works to escape from the dangerous Wasteland.

We probably will find out more about the game at Gamescom in August. Mad Max is slated for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2014.
