The Metal Gear series will be coming back in full force next year.  Not only will we be getting a new Metal Gear Solid game directed by Hideo Kojima himself, but for the gamers who want lightning fast action instead of stealth action, they can look no further than Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.  The game sees Raiden the cyborg ninja ,working for a local PMC in order to protect an unknown country that is recovering from a previous civil war.  The gameplay resembles games like Ninja Gaiden and MGR’s developers Platinum Games other release, Vanquish.

The new trailer was shown at this years Tokyo Game Show and the game looks absolutely stunning.  The action looks kinetic and the fact that you can hack a robot and use it for surveillance or attack is a plus in my opinion.  I was looking forward to this game on the PC, but alas that version of the game has said to be cancelled.  I guess I will have to settle for the PS3 version, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance comes out for the X-Box 360 and PS3 on February of 2013.
