Dr. Ray Mazuka of Bioware told PC Gamer that the next installment of Mass Effect will be the end of Commander Shepards story.  In the interview he states, “Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things: a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”  This statement hints that there could be more Mass Effect games excluding Shepard.

In other related news, after 19,576 votes from Mass Effect fans on Facebook, a final design on female Shepard have been chosen.  It turns out Female Shepard is a redhead.

Mass Effect 3 comes out for the PS3, XBOX 360 and PC on March 6th, 2012
