I will admit that I was late to the game on the Ratchet & Clank front.  I was more of a Jak and Daxter guy. My first foray into the series was Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction for the PS3 and I loved those characters ever since.  However, Insomniac haven’t released a ‘proper’ Ratchet & Clank’ since 2009’s A Crack In Time.  Sadly haven’t played the multiplayer centric All 4 One or Full Frontal Assault.  But what I definitely will be playing is the the next ‘proper’ entry into the series, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.

The game will see  Ratchet and Clank transporting twin villains Vendra and Neftin Prog to a location known as the Vartax Detention Center.  While in transit, the villainous duo escapes and leaves Ratchet and Clank stranded in haunted space.  The trailer from the game shows that Insomniac is taking it back to its old school roots and will keep it’s tradition of wacky weapons and hilarious characters.  Although it will be a full game, we won’t be charged full price.  Into the Nexus will retail at $29.99.  Awesome!!!

Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus will be available both digitally and on disc this fall, exclusively on Playstation 3.
