A couple of months ago, Rockstar Games showed how they are looking to innovate the single player campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5.  They teased at the end of the trailer about big things to come for the multiplayer.  We use the word ‘deep’ when describing the mutiplayer components of video games.  I don’t know if  ‘deep’ is going to be a strong enough word to describe the online component to GTA V.  Basically what Rockstar has created here is a Massively Multiplayer Online component for the game.  Other than the standard death matches, you have a persistent universe that includes racing, heisting, mountain diving and a lot more shenanigans.  Although we are at the dawn of the next gen consoles, GTA V is looking to add some years into the current gen.  Not only will we dedicate hours to the single player, we may double our time into the multiplayer.  I can’t wait to experience GTA Online.

Grand Theft Auto V will be released for the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 on September 17th.
