You know what’s funny?  There have been a lot of talk amongst gamers like myself and games media about The Last of Us and how it’s probably a lock for game of the year even though we’re only half way through the year.  I think Rockstar just shattered my confidence in my prediction when they released the gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5.  Man, does that game has chalk full of awesomeness.  The trailer features not only the massive real estate of Los Santos, but the tons of activities you will be able to do in said city.  One of the coolest aspects of the game is the ability to switch vantage points of the three main protagonists. Michael, Franklyn and Trevor during a mission.  We get to see all the cool things the single player will have to offer with a teaser at the end about multiplayer which will be revealed at a later date.

So there you have it folks.  The race may be on between GTA V and The Last of Us for Game of the year.  Grand Theft Auto V will be released for the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 on September 17th.
